Private Pilot Course
 
A private pilot certificate allows you to fly a helicopter, carry passengers and baggage (not for compensation or hire), and share the aircraft operating expenses.
   
FAA Requirements  
Specify You :
  • Must be at least 17 years of age
  • Obtain at least a 3rd Class Medical Certificate
  • Pass the FAA Private Pilot Rotocraft-Helicopter Knowledge Exam
  • Pass the FAA Private Pilot Rotocraft-Helicopter Practical Exam
  • Read, write, speak and understand English
  • Receive TSA Authorization for Flight Instruction
  • You must be a US Citizen or US National
You must maintain a positive account balance for all services and maintain all weight requirements.
   
Cost based on Minimum Times Aircraft Rates : $11,460.00
Includes :
  • Enrollment fees, books, test prep, FAA Knowledge Exam
  • 30 hours dual in R-22
  • 10 hours solo in R-22
  • 40 hours ground
  • Medical Exam
  • Check Ride

A Commercial Pilot Certificate allows you to fly an aircraft for compensation or hire.

  • Obtain a 2nd class medical certificate
  • Hold a Private Pilot Rotocraft-Helicopter Certificate
  • Pass the FAA Private Pilot Rotocraft-Helicopter Knowledge Exam
  • Pass the FAA Private Pilot Rotocraft-Helicopter Practical Exam
  • Read, write, speak and understand English
  • Receive TSA Authorization for Flight Instruction
  • You must be a US Citizen or US National

Minimum Course Requirements  
Specify You :
  • Hold a Commercial Pilot Airplane Certificate
  • Hold a 2nd class Medical Certificate
  • Obtain 150 hours of flight time (100 hours in powered aircraft of which 50 hours must be in helicopters.)
  • 100 hours Pilot In Command, which includes at least 35 hours in helicopters and 10 hours of cross country in helicopters.
  • 10 hours of instrument training in a helicopter
  • Pass an FAA Commercial oral and flight test. 
  • Dual 25 Hours @ $239.50=$5987.50
  • Solo 25 Hours @ $194.50=$4860.25
  • Ground 10 Hours @ $45.00=$450.00
